ABOUT

Hello! I’m Natalie, thank you for taking the time to learn more about Keeping Apparel. My shop is based in Dallas, Texas, but I love shipping out your favorite classics and handmade items, sewn with love by yours truly.

A little bit about myself: I was born and raised in Duncanville Texas, where my mom taught me how to sew. I was inspired by the simple, classic lifestyle of my hometown. After learning to sew, I quickly developed a love for art, quality fabrics, and sustainable fashion.

I then went to study in Dallas at Booker T. Washington for the Performing and Visual arts; learning about fiber arts, and design strengthened my passion even more. From then on my goal was to make and source materials that would one day become vintage;  and to create and source styles that would stay in someone’s wardrobe for their kids to someday enjoy.

My dad, who has owned his own business since he was 18, taught me everything I needed to know about entrepreneurship. I also have two older brothers, and growing up, I wore a lot of hand-me-downs from them. This inspired me to mix classic masculine and classic feminine styles together.

In 2013, I opened a small store in a basement in the heart of downtown Dallas. Being in a basement made it a little hard for people to find me, so I started building a social media presence to help spread the word.

Today, Keeping Apparel is at the Dallas Farmers Market, and right here online!

Oh yeah, I also do pop-ups when I can and will post when those pop-ups happen :)

Thank you so much for also sharing a love for classics and sustainable pieces. I’m insanely blessed to have you here and could not have done it without you!
